The text was found on one of the laptops recovered after the bombing in which guerrilla chief Mono Jojoy was killed.

Pictures of Tanja Nijmeijer were published on the website of the Colombian president's office. At a meeting in the city of Medellin President Juan Manuel Santos quoted these words from one of the recovered e-mails, dated April 2010: "Brotherly greetings to everyone in your company. In the middle of this tragedy, the appearance of Alexandra [Nijmeijer's guerrilla pseudonym] is good news. The idea to have her work with the international committee is wonderful. I'm certain it will give FARC a boost, given her capacities and professional linguistic skills."
The message had been written by Carlos Antonio Lozada, commander of the Antonio NariƱo section, to Mono Jojoy, commander of the Eastern section, one of the FARC's most important. Mono Jojoy was Nijmeijer's immediate superior.
