Should the British Queen be given £5m more?

Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II is to receive a £5m boost from the taxpayer to carry out her official duties. The sovereign grant, which covers the running costs of the Queen's household, has been set at £36.1m for 2013-14, a rise of 16.5% on the previous year. In a period of economic austerity should the monarchy receive such extra funding?
